Shooting stars is an non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance awareness of emergency pediatric health care and provide hospitals with emergency care bags for families of children 0-21 years of age.
In an emergency people often times leave home with nothing. These bags will allow families to follow an ambulance or helicopter with out having to stop home.
These bags will include items such as calling cards, toothbrushes, toothpaste, paper, pen, shampoo, Kleenex, and other often forgotten items needed in an emergency.
It is our goal to expand this service to every hospital willing to accept our mission.
We would like to do several things this year:
1. Provide emergency family bags to be given to a family when their child age
(0-21) is flown to another facility or goes in an emergency ambulance.
2. Expand our emergency bag services to other communities.
3. Spread the word about who we are and what are mission is.
