Providing Emergency Care Bags to families of childrenwho are transported to a hospital away from their hometown.
Shooting Stars is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance awareness of emergency pediatric health care and provide hospitals with emergency-care bags for families of children, newborn to 21-years-old.
Shooting Stars was formed by caring adults who have experienced, or in some way been affected by, pediatric emergencies. Many of us have heard the medical helicopter fly over or the sound of an ambulance rushing by. It is with hope that the emergency-care bags will offer some sense of relief when the family reaches the hospital and realizes they have brought nothing from home.
Emergency Care Bags
In an emergency, people often leave home with nothing. The bags allow families to follow an ambulance or helicopter without having to stop at home first. It is the goal of Shooting Stars to expand this service to every hospital willing to accept our mission. These emergency bags may include:
Calling CardsPens
Paper
Comb
Kleenex
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Shampoo
Bottled Water
Deodorant
